Dokra Art

From the tribal parts of India, the traditional tribal Bastar art/ Dokra art is famous all over the world. This art is practised by tribals of Bastar region of India and is known throughout the world for its unique technique and style. The tribal communities of Bastar have been protecting this rare art form for generations. This art is made by conventional tools rather than using modern machines. In the metal arts, artifacts of copper and tin mixed metals and brass are made, which primarily include statues of goddesses, idols of worship, idols of tribal culture, and home furnishings.
