Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity and good fortune. She represents abundance - spiritual and material. She is the consort of Lord Vishnu and is said to have taken many avatars to be with Lord Vishnu during his various incarnations. 

She is usually depicted sitting on a Lotus flower, while holding lotus flowers in two of her four hands. The other two hands are usually shown in a mudra with both palms facing outward, one pointing up and the other pointing down. Her vahana or vehicle is the owl.
